Actraiser – Losing You EP
While it’s certainly not a new thing, there seems to be a recent spate of brilliant 140 bpm beats wearing their garage influence heavily on their sleeves.
Best of the recent bunch is this brilliant EP on Swedish dubstep label – Redvolume. Actraiser is a name that’s new to me but one I’m sure to be keeping an eye out for in the future. The title track is my pick of the bunch, with it’s eerie atmospherics leading to a crisp clean break, doomy pitched down vocal lead and a tonne weight of sub bass, it’s a crackin wee shuffly roller!
