Art Bleek – Art Supplies
Art Bleek’s new album “Art Supplies” landed in the Phuturelabs mailbox recently and the producer’s previous output had led me to expect some top quality tech house. Those preconceptions were quickly smashed as the album filtered over the speakers and an initial disappointment was washed away.
The album’s twelve tracks draw on funk, soul, jazz and hip hop to deliver an hour of smokey beats with guests including Ursula Rucker and Mandel Turner and show another side to the work of Art Bleek that will hopefully be allowed to flourish.
