Chilly Gonzales – Never Stop
Piano player extraodinaire Gonzales first hooked up with Erol Alkan and Boys Noize when he remixed their “Waves” track back in December. The meeting of minds led to Boyz Noise producing his forthcoming album “Ivory Tower” for Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound imprint – due out towards the end of the year.
The first taster from the album has landed in the shape of single “Never Stop” and it’s a chunky wee piano driven house number which scores unbelieveably high on the feel good factor and has summer written all over it. Starting off with a simple finger click and building and building along the way with Gonzales’ vocal refrain adding to the tension before the track explodes in 303 goodness. There’s a rap version with a full vocal from Gonzales himself and also a piano only version – but it’s the main mix you’ll be reaching for on those summer evenings.
