Edward Williams – Life On Earth – Music from the 1979 BBC TV Series

This is a bit of a gem from the archives. Edward Williams’ brilliant soundtrack to the 1979 BBC TV series was thought lost forever. There was never an official release and there were only thought to be a handful of copies in existence – pressed up for the musicians involved in the recordings only.

Then one day a chance discovery of a copy in a second hand record store led to this release on Trunk Records. A beautiful cocophony of classical instruments meet with early electronics to create an otherworldly experience, this is a must have for anyone with an interest in electronica and ambient in general.
