High Tone – Out Back
French label Jarring Effects makes it’s UK release debut with this cracking double CD from Lyon production team High Tone. Both CDs are split between the old skool dub sound’s low slung melodies and the more up to date dubstep feel with it’s harsh bass notes and synth lines a-plenty. Vocalists drift in and out of proceedings over the 16 tracks and the whole thing feels that it would translate well to the live front.
Opening track “Spank” is defo my highlight and they’ve put together a cracking video for it – have a gander below:

“Liquor Dub” is, for me, the other stand out track on the album, have a listen below and watch out for the album’s release towards the end of July.
