Housemeister – Music Is Awesome
German producer Housemeister made his debut back in 2002 on Ellen Allien’s BPitch Control imprint and since then has released two albums and a barrel load of quality 12″s full of techno, acid and electro. His third album has just arrived on Boys Noize and it’s a bit of a monster.
Spread over 14 tracks, it’s an album that wastes no time with long build ups or ambient interludes and from the second track “Hirschkeule” we’re pretty much off and running with only slight stops for breath in the title track and the odd skit. Standout tracks for me are Jan Driver’s appearance in the techno chugger “Schnee Von Gestern” and the light electro leanings of the title track.
