Jimmy ‘Bo’ Horne – Spank

Having been sampled by the Stereo MC’s, Jungle Brothers and Ultra Naté there is no doubt that Jimmy ‘Bo’ Horne has some killer beats. With R&B and disco tunes throughout the 70′s & 80′s he was maybe one the the less appreciated artists until the crate diggers started to get to know his tunes.

For me the 1979 disco hit “Spank” ticks all the right boxes with the stand out electric keyboard riff at the start to the high pitch brass that gives the chorus the euphoric feel.
