Miaoux Miaoux – Hey Sound!

Glasgow producer Miaoux Miaoux’s 2007 debut album “Rainbow Bubbles” only came to my attention in recent months but it’s blend of electronica with indie and post-rock leanings impressed hugely.

New single “Hey Sound!” sees the producer refine his sound and the effect is a much more polished affair. With an overall sound that isn’t too distant from Hot Chip at their finest, it’s an insanely catchy number with a bass heavy bottom end and a tasty wee guitar line to finish things off. “Cloud Computer” on the flip follows the same blueprint and throws in a melancholy lead line.

Released on 23rd of May through Eli & Oz, with the physical CD release adding remixes from Dems and Dead Boy Robotics into the package.
