Morphy – Shackles

While drum n bass in the mainstream has been overrun by producers punting over the top, over compessed noisy efforts with about as much groove as a Justin Beiber track, it’s good to know that producers such as Glasgow’s Morphy and imprints such as Raiden’s Voodoo are around to keep the spirit of the genre alive.

This, the third release on the label, sees Morphy take a slave’s lament and coat it in dubbed out sound effects, eerie effects and absolutely amazing drum work.
