Optimo is dead! Long live Optimo!

Unless you have been on Planet Janet (or peach for that matter!) over the last few months you may have heard that Glasgow clubbing institution Optimo is to open it doors on Sunday 25th April for the last time. The brain child of JD Twitch and JG Wilkes, this is a club where music of any genre took centre stage to create a unique party atmosphere. Expert Djing coupled with a who’s who of avantgarde live bands and performances made the club a very special place. Far better people than us have written about its passing so I suggest you check out the best article we found on Resident Advisor.

As part of their final fling Twitch and Wilkes have compiled a list of the 250 best tunes played at the club over the last 650 shows! We thought we would pick out few of our favourites for your Sunday listening.

If that’s not enough we also have an exclusive mix by Twitch given to us by our great friends at the LuckyMe collective. No track listing just click and enjoy.
