Ratcliffe – Tightrope

While Felix from Basement Jaxx has been keeping himself busy releasing tunes for Sinden’s Grizzly imprint (as Jon Giovanni), the other half of the duo – Simon Ratcliffe, hasn’t stepped out on his own since a solo EP in 1995.

All this will change in June with the release of his “Dorus Rijkers EP” on their Atlantic Jaxx imprint. The first taster from the EP has arrived in the shape of “Tightrope” and prepare to have your preconceptions twisted. It’s a 3 minute long Battles style jam that keeps you on your toes throughout with a barrel load of ideas and melodies crammed in.
