Despite being dubstep’s golden boy, Skream for me has always been hugely hit and miss. However, the odd thing here and there (“Trapped In A Dark Bubble” amongst others) has surprised me and he’s turned out a cracker here for his debut on Instra:Mental’s Nonplus+ imprint.

Steppy drums keep the head nodding while a simple melody floats over proceedings, working it’s way into your memory with every second played. It’s a catchy little bugger you’ll be humming for days.

He’s also remixed Instra:Mental’s “No Future” on the flip and it’s a big wobbly dancefloor number, bit of a guilty pleasure you can play and pretend you meant to stick the other side on.

Really digging the No Future remix. Great article on the last decade of Dubstep and it’s progression here http://bit.ly/7cU6fU
