The news of an Addsion Groove album was greeted with much hype when it was announced several months ago. The man also known as Headhunter, responsible for bringing us “Footcrab”, one of the tunes of 2010, has signed up to 50Weapons for his first long player.

We haven’t got our hands on a review copy as yet, but have tracked down this clip to wet the whistle enough to get even more excited. Its real riddim bumping stuff.

It seems like there is a clamber to get some new EP’s out before the end of the year as several labels are ramping things up for Xmas. We know Numbers has a stockpile of tracks which are smouldering away and the next one to catch fire is “Stay Together” by Redinho.

As you would expect from the crimson one, it’s straight up heat. An infectious groove, tight arrangement and liquidized vocals all deliver the goods. Dropping on the 5th December this is an nice early present for yourself.

Guy Andrews first hit our radar after a feature in XLR8R. Soon after that the Brighton bass producer has a 4 track debut on Discobelle. Such is the hype around Guy that he quickly followed that up with an exclusive interview and mix for Dummy Mag.

What is it about his music that has gathered such early plaudits? His productions can be as stark as they are deep. Heavy use of drum samples, cross genre beat runs with influences from right across the spectrum mean there is always something quirky and interesting on the ear. Make no mistake though, his tunes are made to dance to, which is ultimately the name of the game.

Bristolian Kahn is back with another offering on local label Punch Drunk. This 2 tracker has synths to burn on track “Illy” while “Tehran” heads off on a middle eastern tip.

Released on October the 17th.

Also worth checking is his “Way Mi Defend” track, coming soon on Box Clever. Huge dark n doomy vibes and available to pre-order at Boomkat now.

Some new talent now in the form of Lung & Maxx Roach. These two Cardiff upstarts have been making waves in the last few months with Lung releasing an EP through Kokeshi. This time the duo have an EP out on fledgling label Deadplate Records and it’s a techno and house influenced dubstep 3 tracker with a sweet remix from Randomer.

This EP has drawn the attention from the likes of Dark Sky, Blawan and xxxy and can be pre ordered at Piccadilly.

Hot Flush are at it again, this time getting the remix vibe on the go with some quality change ups of tracks from Sepalcure’s brilliant “Love Pressure EP” from last Summer.

Its a stellar cast of remixers with the likes of Falty DL bringing the funky beats and Jimmy Edgar delivering a dirty downbeat house masterclass. We also have reworks from Lando Kal and Daedelus.

News just came in that lo fi electronica outfit Balam Acab have an album on the way. After their amazing “See Birds” EP last year, we were hoping for more of the same and it looks like we are going to get it. The new album “Wander/Wonder” is out in Tri Angle on the 29th August and you can grab this freebie to tide you over till then.

Rizzle Kicks are the latest signing to Island and the label have drafted in Star Slinger for this fantastic remix of their debut single.

Taking a bit of a livelier approach than some of his material it’s a bit of a chunky number with dayum funky drums and catchy synth work wrapped around the radio friendly vocals. Grab it for free below, turn it up loud and try and convince yourself it’s summer despite the rain battering against the window.

Zomby signed to 4AD recently and many (including myself) were a bit unsure of what the partnership would bring. The first new material has appeared and it’s a nice spooky slice of dark dubstep tinged electronica that puts our worries to rest and warms things up nicely for the full album’s release in July.

Our man SBTRKT is back after a tour and some more time in the studio. Currently the darling of Radio 1 he can still bring the heat, with his new tune “Wildfire” being no exception. Its dirty funk with his now customary vocal from Little Dragon front woman Yukimi Nagano. If that’s not enough, he has a new album on Young Turks on the way. Sweet!

Deadboy is back with the “Here EP”, his long awaited new release on his spiritual home Numbers. While he has been busy touring all over the world, these tunes have been bubbling under in the Serato crates of the most in the know DJ’s.

There are the usual warm, welcoming percussive sounds and vocal slithers that we all love but title track “Wish You Were Here” makes a very large nod to disco and house. “All Here 4U” returns to normal funky territory, broken up by a hypnotic house synth line that’s bound to make you throw some shapes. “Ain’t Gonna Lie” closes the EP and is darker and more atmospheric with a shuffling garage underbelly.

Quality from start to finish and you can pre-order this now ahead of it’s release in April.
