We brought you a cracking Jimmy Edgar freebie last week and he’s back again, this time with Luke Vibert in tow for a heavy funked up number called “Disco”. Its due out very soon, even although Jimmy claimed on twitter is was produced about 6 years ago. Well worth the wait I say.

Jimmy Edgar has been busy on his Soundcloud page of late, sticking up new tracks as well as reworks and re-edits. It seem apparent that some of his newer work has more of a house influence which is the case for his remix of the New Look track “The Ballad”. He has done a great job on this so why not grab it for free.

Mr Mageeka released a beast of an EP on Numbers in 2010 which we covered here. He, like many other producers are increasingly using their Soundcloud pages to showcase new tunes and possible forthcoming project. His latest offerings come in various styles and all quality but I was drawn to the housier vibes of the tracks below.

Hot Flush are at it again, this time getting the remix vibe on the go with some quality change ups of tracks from Sepalcure’s brilliant “Love Pressure EP” from last Summer.

Its a stellar cast of remixers with the likes of Falty DL bringing the funky beats and Jimmy Edgar delivering a dirty downbeat house masterclass. We also have reworks from Lando Kal and Daedelus.

With the autumn drawing in fast, its time to beef things up on both the tune and food front. Check out the tasty roast to chase away the chill and open the ears.

There is so many quality beats around at the moment, its hard to fit them all in. We can but try with this first offering as Minitel Rose reworks the Jimmy Edgar tune “Turn You Inside Out”. Sexy synth funk ensues for maximum boogie potential. Shake it!

Next up we have the return of Fulgeance with his recently release seven track EP “Fulgeance 3″. Collaboration on this include Kelpe and Huess. We’ve gone for the tune “Glamoure” which takes a smoother route to the dance floor while still flipping those beats.

We don’t usually go for mash-ups or bootlegs in a big way here at the Labs but this one’s a cracker. Kicks Like A Mule released the classic “The Bouncer” back in 92 and after a hefty hiatus, returned in 2008 with some quality remixes of MIA, Major Lazer and The Prodigy (they supported them on their recent UK tour also).

Now they’re back with a forthcoming single on Fools Gold and this cheeky wee mash up that’s been floating around for a while but is now finally available to download. Throwing Zinc’s “138 Trek” and A Trak & Laidback Luke’s “Shake It Down” together in the mix and creating a peaktime smasher.

Last and by now means least is Norway’s nu disco king Bjørn Torske. Low slung disco vibes with percussive change up and and bubbling bass lines give us a window into the type of tunes his new album has in store. Jimmy Edgar on Nonplus sounds like a dream collaboration and this won’t leave you disappointed. It’s a big ol’ slice of robot funk that would be the perfect soundtrack to that robot porno that you “accidentally” downloaded once. Jazz style keys float over the top of an old skool electro break and a p-funk style whistle wanders in later on to add an even more smoothness. Cracking stuff.

Well if free downloads of both the original and the Machinedrum remix of this monster from Jimmy Edgar wasn’t enough – the lovely folk at !K7 have drafted in Phuturelabs faves Instra:mental for another installment! I think it’s the best of the bunch – quality doomy beats with the trademark Autonomic sheen.
