Its been a long wait but finally, our man Linkwood is back and about to drop his latest 12 on Shevchenko.

As his monster “Barely Eagle” demonstrated, he can create a infectious deep house groove while still retaining real warmth in the production. This shines through again in the new EP’s first track – “Secret Value”.

The track “Between Me & You” takes a more warped approach with a spaced out, cosmic vibe throughout.

A live mix of “Ignorance is Bliss” completes the set and rounds off what is a quality, long overdue EP.

Fudge Fingas aka Gavin Sutherland who some of you may know as the keyboard player from the band Found is about to have his first release on the super hot London label Prime Numbers headed up by Trus’me. Due for release on all formats at the beginning of March we have a little taster to whet the appetite. With previous production work for Scottish label Firecracker with man of the moment Linkwood this EP has a nice diverse range of styles. “MmmHmm” has a real old house feel to the chords and fazed backdrop. Where as “Me & U” brings us the more disco roots of house and a nice warped vocal. Finally “Its About Time” has a lovely slow electro disco vibe to get the head nodding. A really great EP!!!! Been hearing quite about Linkwood of late and this EP on Firecracker totally blew me away. From the slow disco funk grooves of “Barely Eagle” through to the ridiculously fat synth line driven “Who La La” and finishing with Fudge Fingas’ guaranteed to get ya head-a-nodding bassline funk on “Situation Dimished”, this is a belter of an EP.
