I’m a big fan of short n snappy mixes, they’re handy for when you have to walk somewhere or carry out a wee task and need some audio assistance. So every so often I’m gonna throw together a wee mix that’s under 20 minutes for that very purpose. For the first in the volume I’ve opted for a 140 vibe with some dubsteppy, garagey type goodness.

After harnessing the power of the beard to recover my mixing mojo for Beardism Part 1, I foolishly shaved it off. Since then I’ve been struggling to get a decent mix recorded…..until…..I remembered that I’d kept some shavings of the beard in a jar and buried them in the back garden for such an emergency. Once the jar was mine, I gently sprinkled some of the face fur over the mixer and lo and behold, I was back in the game!

As with Vol 1, it’s a snack-sized mix that comes in at just over 30 minutes. Ranging from techy house to some techno goodies to some more wonky type numbers towards the end, get this down the pipes and get yer boogie on. Beard not mandatory.

Recently I’d been struggling to get a decent house mix recorded, basically I just couldn’t seem to peace things together as well as I had in previous recordings. Then, I decided to grow a beard last December and, now the beard is in full flow, I’m feeling that mixes are almost putting themselves together. It’s almost like the beards in control. Never one to fight such feelings, I gave the beard a wee trim this morning and set it off to record this mix.

It’s snack sized at just over 30 minutes and features some quality house, techy house, breaksy bits and a wee dash of old skool at the end. So get this on your MP3 player of choice and get yer boogie on.
