While the 90s were mostly about innovation in the world of drum n bass, sadly the 2000s would become more about imitation. One of the acts whose material would inevitably lead to a million copycats were the mighty Bad Company.
The foursome were responsible for some of the biggest tunes in the genre’s history and individually would then go on to even bigger things (dBridge with his phenomenal Exit imprint and involvement in the Autonomic sound, Fresh would go on to become a fully bonafide pop star and Maldini & Vegas would continue the Bad Company sound and name with varying levels of success) but the news of their full reunion for an Exit 10th anniversary gig in April has set tongues a-wagging in the drum n bass world.
Head on over to FACT for more info on the event and get your ears around my personal favourite BC track, the brilliant “Seizure” from 1999.
