While micro-genre trends come and go weekly in the world of electronic music, real quality house music is timeless and Nottingham producer NAIL has definitely been behind some classics in his time. In the past year of so his A-Block Trax series for Labs fave Robsoul has firmly placed him at the forefront of our playlists but it’s a trip down memory lane that gets our attention today.

Sheffield’s Shabby Doll Records have gathered together a top notch collection of unreleased goodies from a pile of NAIL’s DATS and turned out a double 12″ entitled “Lost Trax 1997″ packed end to end with 4/4 goodness that hasn’t dated slightly and still sound as fresh as the day they were written.

Get your ears around the previews below and pick up the vinyl or digital download now.

NAIL also has a reputation as being rather handy on the old turntables so we asked if he’d put together a guest mix for us and he kindly obliged. Stream or download the mix below for an hour of top drawer house goodies that’s providing the perfect accompaniment to a sunny Glasgow afternoon.

Keep an eye on NAIL’s Facebook page for more release and gig info.
