Robert Hood unveiled the debut album from his Floorplan project back in June and while the moniker’s output seemingly split Hood’s listeners down the middle, we’re big fans of the gospel and house-tinged sound around these parts.
With “Paradise” still ringing in our ears, the Detroit legend is back with more fresh Floorplan material to keep our appetites firmly satisfied.
The two originals here are prime DJ tool material with “Phobia” utilising a fiendishly simply synth hook and horn combo and “Glory B” bringing along a preacher for extra gospel points.
As an added bonus Ben Sims comes along for the ride and takes on album track “Higher!”. He’s in fine form here and turns in a classy slab of techno goodness with all the finesse you’ve come to expect from one of the world’s finest DJs and producers.
Released on the 18th of November and available to pre-order now at Juno.
