We’ve been keeping a beady eye on the electronic outpourings of Glasgow’s Aleks Jurczyk for a while now with both versions of the rather lovely “The Silence Between Us” for Wrong Island and the “Brutal Britain” cassette for Elephant proving firm favourites in our Winamp playlists.

His latest outing sees him don the moniker The Orpheus Choir and team up with fine Glasgow imprint Broken20 for the “Trigger To Strike EP”. A five-tracker that lands somewhere inbetween those two aforementioned releases, blending sinister electronica, doomy drone and eerie techno.

He’s resident synth specialist at Glasgow’s Rubadub and his knowledge of hardware and how to utilise it to its fullest is evident throughout.

To get a wee bit of a gander into the mind of the man himself we asked if he’d put together a guest mix and he’s kindly obliged. Expect material from the likes of Silent Servant, Surgeon, Ancient Methods, Russell Haswell and more as he wears his influences fully on his sleeve and turns in a belter of a mix of dark techno and electronica.

Future Sound of London obsessive with a taste for moody house, techno and drum n bass. I was also rather partial to speed garage and am still slightly obsessed with early 90s rave. To keep up with more of my shocking banter or to get in touch you can get me on Google+ and Twitter.
