Playlesshome

Spanish producer and DJ Alex Ferrer has already forged a name for himself in the world of house with his Sidechains moniker and as half of The Requesters but his latest project Playless is undoubtedly home to his finest work to date.

The project’s first EP landed earlier this year in the shape of the “Closer EP” and it’s nostalgia fuelled classic house sound found favour from DJs far and wide including Laurent Garnier, N-Type and Tensnake. He’s just followed that up with another monstrous release, this time for US label Whiskey Pickle.

The tracks take the blueprint set out by the debut EP and nudge things even further forward and have again been picked up by the great and the good in big numbers.

Check the previews below and pop on over to Junodownload to snap up the EP.

Ferrer also has a strong reputation as one of Spain’s finest DJs and he’s kindly delivered this guest mix to showcase his skills.

It’s packed end to end with top drawer house from the likes of Doc Daneeka and Jimmy Edgar, also – any mix that features WK7’s “Do It Yourself” is a guaranteed favourite around these parts.
