Italian imprint Gang of Ducks first made its way into the world via a brilliant EP of dark and crunchy electronica from Traag in 2013 and since then has nicely built up a wee air of mystery around them with scratchy images and press releases which avoid the usual bullshit. It’s certainly not a case of style over content however though as they’ve also released some absolutely amazing music from the likes of My Panda Shall Fly, Dave Saved and Haf Haf along the way.
The latest artist to join the fold comes in the shape of Sabla and as you’d expect we’re not exactly full of information on this mysterious producer. The music contained with the “Spirits EP” simply does all the talking that’s required. Packed with weighty kick drums and eerie atmospherics it’s a brilliant EP that fits perfectly into the label’s catalogue while simultaneously avoiding sounding unlike anything else within it.

To get to know the mysterious Sabla a bit better, we asked if he’d put us together a guest mix and the result is a 50 minute wander into dark electronica and techno that’s light of touch and easy on the ears. Get in about it at the top of the page.
