Despite his unremarkable moniker, Joe has racked up some top quality releases for the likes of Apple Pips and Hemlock over the past few years, his finest work however has undoubtedly appeared on Hessle Audio.
Its to this spiritual home that he returns and he marks the imprint’s 25th release.
The release opens with “Slope” and what seemed like a fairly brittle house number slowly gets darker as the clock ticks on. An evil drone appears a minute or so in and slowly makes its presence known before developing into beautifully atmospheric pads and taking an unexpected turn.
Turn the vinyl over and “Maximum Busy Muscle” on the flip sees proceedings toughen up somewhat. Again we’re treated to some spacey pads but they appear only briefly as a short diversion from the driving techno packed to the brim with percussive elements and found sounds.
Another hugely impressive release from the elusive producer that lands on October 14th on 12″ vinyl and digital download.
