Jordan Peak – Club Cuts Vol.3

Jordan Peak’s stock has has been steadily climbing since his nomination for Best Breakthrough DJ at the 2011 DJ Mag awards and this EP, his first for 2013 and the third installment in his “Club Cuts” series for Robsoul, should firmly cement him as one of the best new producers working in house at the moment.

Proceedings kick off with the monstrous “Pump Handle Slam” and we’re wasting no time from the off. An old skool style vocal snippet lends an air of familiarity to the tough house shenanigans and guarantees almost anthem-like status.

Things don’t show any signs of slowing across the rest of the EP from the classic garage sounds of “So Right” via the more contemporary leanings of “Mean Streets II” and “Turbulence”.

The gem in the pack however is definitely “Jungle Boogie” with its ridiculously huge sub bass, tis a bit of a monster.

You can pick this up on 12″ vinyl from the 4th of March.

Peak also dropped in on Mosca’s Radio 1 show recently, so get your ears around that below:
