Josh Wink made a tremendous return to form last year with the brilliant “When A Banana Was Just A Banana” album. Showing he still had what it took to produce brilliant techno and house with an ear for the all important melody and hook, the album found its way onto my playlist for months following its release. Now, to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Wink’s Ovum imprint, he’s sent in the remixers to do their dirty work on it.

Some of the finest techno and house producers in the world stepped up to the fold including Jimpster, Radio Slave, Martin Buttrich, Slam, Nic Fanciulli and Pascal Feos but it’s the Matthias Tanzman remix of “Airplane Electronique” that sticks out as my personal fave, retaining the catchy hook of the original and wrapping it in a warm tech house package.

Here’s some clips to whet your appetite:

Josh Wink – Jus Right – Jimpster Remix

The digital version is now available to download at Beatport and vinyl fans have an extra treat lined up in the shape of artwork from Emmy-nominated character designer Parker Jacobs spread over the six seperate 12″ releases.

Future Sound of London obsessive with a taste for moody house, techno and drum n bass. I was also rather partial to speed garage and am still slightly obsessed with early 90s rave. To keep up with more of my shocking banter or to get in touch you can get me on Google+ and Twitter.
