Halloween is once more upon us and you can now cease hunting for that perfect “spooky” playlist for your gathering this evening as Cedric Maison (or Jamie Russell to his mum) is here to sort it out for you.
As one of the duo behind highly esteemed imprint Hypercolour (and its multitude of top quality offshoots) he’s released some of the finest music to grace our ears in the past 6 or so years bringing artists such Huxley, George FitzGerald and Bodyjack into the spotlight and introducing me to some of my current personal favourites including Will Azada and Last Magpie.
He’s put together a special Halloween themed mix (which you can stream/download above) for your pleasure taking in unnerving house, spooky techno and the odd classic soundtrack moment to seal the deal (full tracklist below).
The mix also includes the latest release on his Hypercolour imprint, the delightfully creepy in the best possible way acid wobbles of the legendary Luke Vibert’s “Halloween”.
You can pick that up now on 12″ over at Juno with a Tom Demac remix due in December.
