Max Richter’s 2004 album “The Blue Notebooks” is one of our favourite albums of all time here at the Labs and as such, we’re all ears for any new material from the composer.
While things had been quite in recent years (although 2010′s “Infra” is a must have), there were whispers that we’d see a new album this year.
We’re still waiting for that album, but in the meantime, Deutsche Grammophon have set him to work providing his own take on Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”.
As you’d maybe expect, this is more of a straight up classical album than some of Max’s finer moments and obvious care is taken when dealing with such a historical piece of work.
Preview the whole album below and pick it up from the end of October.
