Lazy Sundays: TVO – Red Night

Glasgow label Broken20 have quickly become a Sunday favourite of mine with the Penalune and Magnet Marsh albums regularly finding a home on my player of choice.

Their next release sees the release of the sixth solo album from label boss TVO.

Once again, this is no easy listening affair but the blend of off kilter drones, dark atmospherics and the odd minimal techno outing make this a must have for those with a taste for the melancholy.

The more rhythmic sections sit perfectly alongside the more sparse elements to create something quite special.

As with the aforementioned Magnet Marsh album, this will also be available on tape for uninterrupted listening with a hint of hiss through the label’s sister outlet Broken60.

Released at the end of July and will be available at Boomkat and all other good retailers.
