Maarten van der Vleuten – Internaut EP

Dutch label Shipwrec have already impressed this year with a phenomenal EP from Doubleheart and they’re keeping things moving along with this brilliant two-tracker from Maarten van der Vleuten.

With a back catalogue that spans back to 1996 for labels such as R&S and Djax-Up-Beats, you know quality is guaranteed.

Both tracks here are jaw droppingly good and have the structure of classic electro with a contemporary feel. “Internaut” is the chunkier of the two and moves along nicely with floaty synth meanderings wandering over it’s tough beats and bass backing while “Holographic Inserts” on the flip takes the foot off the gas slightly and aims more for the headphones.
