Oliver Deutschmann – Breakdown/Braineater

We featured German DJ and producer Oliver Deutschmann back in the first volume of our Soma Select series and his material always finds it ways into our playlists around these parts.

The latest output from his studio sees him team up with Caduceus Records for an impressive slab of acid laced techno in “Breakdown”.

Managing to sound suitably dirty and polished at the same time is a knack that Deutschmann has down to a fine art and he’s in fine fettle here. He also offers up the pin sharp goodness of “Braineater”, a less abrasive but equally as functional tool for those with a finely tuned techno palette.

On the remix tip Steve Rachmad takes on the lead track and ups the crunch factor nicely while LAD takes on the second and turn the tempo down to move the track into chugger territory.
