Optical – The Shining
This Friday’s classic sees us wander down memory lane with a bit of drum n bass history. Released in 1997 on Matrix’s “Metro” imprint, it was Optical’s finest moment at that point in time and in my opinion has rarely been bettered.
By the time this was released, Optical had already stood head and shoulders above his peers and this release laid the groundwork for the phenomenal “Wormhole” album with Ed Rush and their Virus imprint that was to follow shortly after.
So sit back, get the headphones on and swim in a sea of dark atmospherics and doomy bass action.
