It’s fair to say that Robert Hood has god-like status here in Labs HQ. He’s regarded as a living legend in the techno world and continues to produce quality tunes to a level that puts most others into the shade.

His “Motor: Nighttime World 3” album was universally regarded as one of last year’s best albums and Music Man have lined up the “Black Technician” track as the long-player’s latest single outing.

As well as the brilliant 10 minute long original, the label have drafted in another techno legend for remix duties – UR’s Mad Mike.

He steps out on his own for the first version and turns in a tough 4/4 rework with those classic Detroit pads. For the second take on the track he’s joined by Waajeed and a shuffly acid number is on the cards here.

It’s a top drawer package that deserves your pennies and you can pick it up from the 27th of May at Juno.
