SCB – Rope / Technique

It’s been a rather quiet year for Scuba. His third album “Personality” brought his sound to a massive audience worldwide in 2012 and picked up serious support from the big radio players as well as the tastemakers in the DJ world but 2013 has seen him mostly focus on remix work, his Hotflush imprint and constant touring.

The 2nd of December however should change that as his “Update” retrospective collection sees a worldwide release (it landed in the US earlier this year) but before then, he’s decided to don his SCB cap once more for two classy techno numbers.

First track “Rope” is a dark little beast with grungey synth stabs and a hefty amount of sub bass while “Technique” on the flip takes a deeper approach with perfectly layered percussive elements wandering around a spacey techno backing. Brilliant stuff as always.

Released on the 11th of November.
