U96 – Das Boot
A recent conversation about Klaus Doldinger’s “Das Boot” soundtrack reminded me of this 1991 rave classic from U96 and sent me scurrying into the depths of the record crates to uncover my prized 7″ vinyl copy with its RS McColl price sticker still intact.
It’s an absolute classic that time unfortunately hasn’t been very kind to but it’s sure to bring a nostalgic lump in the throat to those of us of a certain age.
Fire it up below but don’t ever be tempted to check out any of the other tracks that U96 subsequently released, therein lies pain and disappointment.
