West Norwood Cassette Library – Missing You EP

Every time I hear the name West Norwood Cassette Library I get a wee moment of nostalgia. When I was a kid my dad used to take me to this library where you could take out Spectrum games and also music on cassette, I loved that place and the hours spent leafing through the terrible games in the hunt for something and finally settling on “Yes, Prime Minister” again.

Anyway, that wee nostalgia rush is quickly prolonged by the music offered up by Mr Bob Bhamra as it so often comes tinged with a hint of yesteryear. His latest outing sees him follow up the grungey beats of his “8 Track Cartridge” EP for Hypercolour with a four-tracker of quality house injected with a hefty dose of soul.

It’s just really so damn nice that to do anything but love it would indicate a lack of humanity and warmth in the listener.
